HAC Spit at Duxford - 06Mar10

Postby Pen Pusher » 06 March 2010 19 43 16

I though I saw something flying over Duxford as I was traveling in on the bus this morning but couldn?t see anything out on the airfield when I arrived. It was mentioned on the FOD desk that a Spitfire had been doing some circuits. I spotted it up by the Land Warfare Museum so I was off on a brisk route march hoping that it wouldn?t start up gain until I got there. As it was nose on, I didn?t know which one it was until I saw ?Tracey Le Tracteur? and just as I got there, Charlie Brown fired up the Merlin of the HAC Mk.Vb Spitfire and departed Duxford for I know not where.

Apologies for the silhouettes, but I was shooting into the sun which was still low in the sky.
